- We had a total of 47 sponsored walkers.
- The top 10 walkers were Sybil Carter, Brian Harrison, Pamela Newman, Belinda Daugherty, Dana Webster, Jay Joye, Pamela Neu, Beverly Patterson, Bonnie Gay Bear, and Guin Nance.

Honor of Your Mother
Our Walk for Life is a fun way to support the ministry of Sav-A-Life. It is non-athletic and non-competitive. It is a “stroller to wheelchair event” so everyone is welcome to participate! After you complete the walk, you can stay at the Montgomery Zoo and enjoy the zoo attractions with your family and friends.
In 2009, our first Walk had 47 sponsored walkers with an average of $260 received per walker.
In 2010, our second Walk had 62 sponsored walkers with an average of $296 received per walker.
This year our goal is raise $30,000 by increasing our sponsored walkers.
- With 150 sponsored walkers, each one would only have to raise $200 to reach our goal.
- With 108 sponsored walkers, each one would only have to raise $278 (our average for the first two walks) to reach our goal.
This year we are utilizing software which will enable you to create your own “Walk Page” and link it to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. You will also be able to send out professional e-mails asking people to walk with you or sponsor you as a walker. If you are planning to be a sponsored walker, please pre-register so we can keep apprised of our progress toward our goals.
