Our Ministries

Sav-A-Life of Montgomery Inc. is a non-denominational Christian ministry promoting a culture of life, health, and morality. Under this non-profit, religious corporation, there are several distinct ministries. All these ministries comprise one 501c3, administered by one staff under one Board of Directors with one budget and one mission.

 

  • Sav-A-Life, Montgomery, Inc. does business as First Choice Women's Medical Center.
  • First Choice Women's Medical Center at 380 Mendel Parkway is a Christian medical clinic offering pregnancy testing, ultrasound to confirm positive tests, medical information and referrals. http://www.firstchoicewmc.com
  • HOPE Group is a ministry for women who have had abortions and want to know God's healing. http://www.abortionaftermath.org/
  • God Made You Unique is a Biblical program offered to youth leaders and teachers who want to learn an effective approach to teaching the message of sexual purity to their groups. Over 60 leaders have been trained to present this program.

  • Men’s Ministry for those men facing a crisis pregnancy or those men who have experienced the pain of abortion.

 

While the goals of each ministry are the same, the methodologies are quite different.
With four distinct ministries, God is affording unprecedented opportunities to be His instruments in saving and transforming lives.

A CLOSER LOOK AT EACH PROGRAM

 

First Choice Women's Medical Center utilizes ultrasound technology to show patients the baby or babies inside their wombs.  We are very thankful to own two ultrasound machines., but  we are in need of a new ultrasound machine.  When we only had one center, Sav-A-Life, 47% of the clients changed their minds for life.  Since using the ultrasound, more than 87% of our patients choose life.  If you would like to donate toward our ultrasound fund click here.

 

HOPE (Healing of Post-Abortion Effects) Group is an eight week program  using "Forgiven and Set Free" Bible study in the context of group dynamics. Facilitators are women who have experienced the emotional aftermath of their own abortions and have come to know God's healing through HOPE group.

God Made You Unique offers training in teaching sexual purity to youth leaders, teachers, anyone who works with youth in today's challenging society. A one day training session is provided  by Sav-A-Life at no charge, with a fast paced instructive program presented by SAFE (Sex and Family Education) of Birmingham. Participants leave the one day training with confidence in presenting this program, using materials they can purchase or borrow from Sav-A-Life.

 

Men’s Ministry is offered by a local minister, Jay Joye.  Jay is an ordained minister and has been trained to lead men through crisis times.  Appointments are made with Jay at the patient’s convenience.
